General Description
The power factor regulator combines comprehensive operation with user-friendly control setting.IT user numericalrechniques in compution the phase difference between the fundamentals of cunrent and voltage ,thus precis e power factor measurement is achieved even presence of harmonics.
The power factor regulator is designed to optimize the control of reactive power compensation.Reactive powercompensation is achieved by measurin continuously the reactive power of the system and then compensated by the switchingof capacitor banks.The sensitvity setting optimizes the switching speed.With the built-in inte k kugent automatic switchingprogram, the power factot regulator further imoroves the switching efficiency by reducing the number of switching operationsrequires to achieve the desired power factor,
Usage of the capacitor bank is evenly distributed by the intelligent switching algorithm.This ensures unform ageing of thecapacitors and the contactactors used.
The four-quadrant operation feature allows the power factor regulator to operate correctly in the case of active power feedback to the mains Where regenerative power sources are used.
Harmonic current in the system can be harmful to the capacitor bank.This power factor regulator is capab
leof measuringthe total harmonic distortion(THD)in the system and produce an alarm if the THD leve; is higher than the pre-set vakue,theralarms include ubder/over compensate alarm,under/over current alarm and under/over voltage alarm.
Current transformer(CT) polarety important in determining the corrct phase angle different between the currentand voltagehence the power factor、This power factor rehulator will automatically correct the CT polarety intermally in the event that thepolarity is reversed.
